Radio Redhill was very pleased to walk away with three awards from this weekend’s National Hospital Broadcasting Awards.
Our coverage of last year’s South of England Show won a silver in the Special Event award.
The judges said "This entry is what makes hospital radio so special. A real team effort in bringing the event to life for the patients. There were genuine laugh-out-loud moments."
Ian Wilson’s trip on the first steam train from East Grinstead on the Bluebell Railway won the bronze Speech Package award.
The judges said "We loved the content, and thought it was well produced, painting a real picture for the listeners taking them on the journey itself. Good use of sound with a good variety of voices".
Radio Redhill also won a highly commended award in the Station of the Year Award.
