Radio Redhill's Outside Broadcast at the Redhill Airshow on Sunday 14th August proved to be a flying success.

The theme of the Airshow was '60 years on, 1945-2005' to commemorate the brave fighters who lost their lives in the Second World War.

Our outside broadcast from the South of England show last year, won the silver in the special event category. FM logoFrom April 2nd - 17th we will be running an RSL (Restricted Service Licence), which means Radio Redhill will be broadcasting to the local area on 87.7FM . Local residents - including ex-patients, hospital staff and Radio Redhill members will be able to join in the celebrations by listening at home or in the car to our special selection of programmes. We will also hopefully give non-hospital listeners an idea of the work that hospital radio does. The FM signal will cover an area from Godstone in the east, Dorking in the west and Horley to the south. There will also be the opportunity to win a flight to a choice of destinations, so be sure to tune in on 87.7.

As part of Radio Redhill's 30th Birthday celebrations, Nicholas Owen from ITV News cuts the birthday cake in a ceremony attended by many Radio Redhill members past and present. The giant cake was baked by Radio Redhill member, Cathy Reali. Our thanks go to her.

The cake cutting (and eating) was followed by a special chapel service, in The Chapel of the Holy Spirit. The service was led by the Rev. John Glasspool and the Rev. John Joseph.
