Applications
for membership of Radio Redhill are welcomed from people who are
prepared to make a regular commitment of their time to further the aims
of hospital broadcasting, i.e to benefit the patients and staff of the
East Surrey Hospital in Redhill.
This
could be by becoming a trainee broadcaster (full training is given to
those with the right flair) or by being a ward visitor collecting
record requests from patients (although all broadcasters do this too).
Alternatively you could have technical abilities that would assist in
keeping the station “on air” or be interested in a
“back room” job like helping with the
station’s
growing record library.
There
is a one-off joining fee of £10 and an annual membership
subscription, which is currently £16. Full-time students, the
retired and those who do not broadcast, e.g. request collectors pay a reduced rate of £8.
If
you think you could help the award-winning Radio Redhill to maintain
its high standards, you should contact the station’s
Chairman, Nigel Gray. Please include a contact phone number in your email. You can also call on 01737 768511, extension 6290.
